The www.childoflebanon.org works in cooperation with professionals, institutional and human resources in contact with children2, based on a interdisciplinary team approach. Institutions and authorities, municipal and governmental

Frontliners and professionals, in Lebanon and the arab region, as well as international data base (UN and the CRC committee, the WHO, the World perspectives on CAN, UNSGVAC, etc.)

The general public and the media.

Children and youth. These categories of the population are in fact leading partners in the project; they are: problem(s) identifiers, data collectors, peer and family educators, monitors and evaluators. What are the action guidelines - or mission definition -
of the Lebanese Institute for Child Rights www.childoflebanon.org?

The mission of childoflebanon is to prevent CAN and to promote good practices in child rights, by advocating for the CRC, monitoring CAN cases, and develop a multisectoral curriculum in CAN.

This mission can be realistically implanted by:

Contributing in the setting of a knowledge-base, in partnership with St joseph University in Beimt to support a child observatory

Analyzing cases of CAN, with an existing multidisciplinary team

Increasing public awareness about violence against children

Promoting the rights of children by actions, education and information

Contributing in educational and social actions relevant with CAN

This strategy needs procedures and processes, by:

Building up a team of intersectoral experts

Developing a relevant network of resources, including children and youth

Planning activities with families and youth to prevent violence

Setting a quantitative and qualitative knowledge-base on VAC and CAN, based in St Joseph University in Beirut

Collecting, coding and classifying available data relevant to children in critical conditions, as risk factors for CAN

Identifying valuable resources and key persons working with children
